Craig L. Slutzkin is the Chief Financial Officer of New Leaf Venture Partners, a healthcare venture capital firm based in New York and California. Craig held found New Leaf in 2005 when it was spun off from the Sprout Group, the Venture Capital affiliate of Credit Suisse. Previously, Craig served the Chief Financial Officer of the Sprout Group for three years. Craig also spent over seven years in the assurance practices of Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young in New York, primarily working with private equity firms, investment banking institutions, and hedge funds.

Craig received his M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia Business School and received a B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems from Queens College. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Townsend Harris Alumni Association since 1995, was elected treasurer of the Alumni Association in 1997. In 2004, he was also elected as the co-president and became the sole president in 2010.

In 2013, Craig was appointed by Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer to Community Board 5 and currently services on both the Committee on Public Safety and Quality of Life as well as the Committee on Transportation.
