Chelsea Spurgeon is studying at the University of Tennessee and plans to graduate, with honors, with a B.S.Ed. in Kinesiology in May 2014. She worked for Three Rivers Hospital as an ER and Outpatient Admitting Clerk from 2008-2011. She has worked as a student athletic trainer for the University of Tennessee's Swimming and Diving team since August 2012. Beginning in August 2013, she will be working with the Lady Vols basketball team. Once Spurgeon graduates, she plans to attend physical therapy school to become a licensed therapist with a concentration in sports.

During her free time, Spurgeon likes to play basketball, read, and travel. She loves the beach, and she spends as much time there as possible. This summer she will be participating in an academic internship in Dublin, Ireland. Since she is from Erin, Tennessee, which is a small Irish town in Middle Tennessee, this trip is very important to her. This internship will help prepare her for her future career as a physical therapist.
