I am a long time Surrey resident, father, husband, homeowner and entrepreneur. About 2 years ago, a mother was walking her child into school, the same school my child attends and had her car window smashed and purse stolen on a sunny spring morning at a quiet suburban school. I had enough and started @crimecitysurrey™ to bring awareness to crime in Surrey.

The #1 issue in Surrey is crime and as a result, a deteriorating quality of life. I have learned over the years our elected officials, notably Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner and her Surrey First party, just pay lip service to this issue - it doesn't fit their narrative of the Surrey they project.

Surrey is an anomaly in Canada - rising crime rates and rampant gang related gun crime. Surrey has contracted its policing to the RCMP who are accountable to Ottawa. Surrey needs its own Police Department accountable to you.

We need a new plan and new leadership.
