Catherine Truong

My name is Cat. I'm a Vietnamese American residing in southern California. My main interests include technology, programming, and exploring new areas.

I'm a third year combined Linguistics and Computer Science major at UCLA and wish to pursue computer science as my lifelong career. I feel like I've just touched the surface of computer science since my explorations have been confined to my computer science courses, but I don't see this as an issue; rather, I see it as an opportunity to learn more and expand my horizons. I have so much more to learn and as I learn and become more involved in computer science, I will be able to use this to impact everyone's daily lives.

Where do I see myself in the next few years? Right now, I'm not sure! But what I do know is that I absolutely will be involved with technology, someway, somehow. Technology is what drives me; I see it as such an important aspect of life and provider of information that society runs on today, and I want to help push it forward and make it impact everyones' lives even more.
