My name is Nathan Culley and as you may know, I'm a student at the University of Georgia. However, there are many things that the majority of people do not know about me. I consider myself to have one of the best, if not the best, work ethics of anyone I know. Many people will consider that cocky, or conceited, or stuck up, but I feel I have earned the right to say that.
Beginning way back in elementary school, I was always pushed to be the best me and I accepted those pushes not because they were there, but because I wanted to make my parents proud. My mom gave birth to me when she was 17 and my dad was 21. Raising me, they never had the opportunities that are in front of me today. My mom couldn't finish high school and my dad had to work long hours to keep us fed. That is why I push myself to be the best.
All throughout middle and high school, I did everything I could to be the best me and make my parents smile. I put the long nights of homework and studying in for AP classes and the many hours of work to afford the things that I've wanted for myself. Ending high school in the top five percent of my class was a major accomplishment to me. Now here at 19 years old, I've bought myself a car that makes me smile every time I see it and am getting ready to move into my own apartment.
These few accomplishments show my personality and how I live my life. I live to be successful and make those that love me proud and without my work ethic I wouldn't be able to accomplish such a thing.
