Cult of Personality LA

My husband and I started this store as a labor of love. We love traveling and scouring antique malls and thrift stores. I had been a stylist/costume designer for tv/film/music videos/commercials/print for 20 years, so I had amassed a rather large collection of beautiful vintage clothes. I found this amazing space on a sleepy little part of the not very popular part of Melrose and my husband went to town turning the space into my vision. For the store. My husband now creates his own line of menswear as well as doing alterations in the back of the store. We wanted to be able to carry high and low price points so that there could be little something for everyone. We also carry a wide range of stuff in the store that doesn’t limit the store to being just a vintage clothing store. We also sell candles, soaps, blankets, pillows, pottery, CBD healing oils/salves, RBG action figures, gnome crayons, unicorn mount heads, roller skates, umbrellas, art, purses, hats, shoes, sunglasses, new clothing and of course lots of the best-curated vintage clothing! We specialize in vintage technically, but I like to say we have a little bit of everything for everyone. We have a really great brand of Australian roller skates called Impala that we sell, and we keep a pair in the window, and that makes them really popular! My husband’s brand BoysDontCry is a brand that obviously we are extremely proud of. We are set apart from the rest because we aren’t trendy, we are timeless. We thrive on being different, rebellious and standing out. Cult of Personality is not for the wallflowers.
