Peizhong Li

Peizhong provides group training and individual consultation in cross-cultural communications and adaptation. He is based in Vancouver, British Columbia and serves corporate and individual clients all over Canada and the United States.

Peizhong conducts Two-Hour and Half-Day Workshops on Cross-Cultural Adaptation focusing on the following issues.
• Cultural Comfort: Ease and Effectiveness in Cross-Cultural Communications
• Beyond Cultural Differences: Connecting at the Personal Level
• Effective Communications with the Chinese
• Living Well in China

Peizhong provides One-on-one consultation (face-to-face or via video conferencing) focusing on the following issues.
• pre-departure training for expats relocating to China
• coping with social isolation and alienation for expats
• regulating negative emotions while living and working overseas
• dealing with workplace conflicts during overseas (China) assignment

Peizhong received his master’s and doctoral degrees in psychology at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania. His Master’s research investigated cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders, especially phobias. His Ph. D. research examined stereotyping of and prejudice against racial minorities in the United States. After completing graduate training, Peizhong served as an assistant professor of psychology at University of Wisconsin-Stout for five years. Peizhong moved to China in 2009 and served a counselor and trainer at Hohai University Counseling Center and Sunshine Psychological Counseling Center in Nanjing. He also served as a lecturer at the Institute of Applied Psychology of Hohai University between 2009 and 2011. Between January and October 2012, Peizhong served as the Director of Research and Development at PscyCN Chestnut Global Partners in Beijing. His duties included developing and validating psychological assessments, providing group trainings and individual counseling for employees at client companies in Chinese and English.
