Ever since I was a young child, football has been extremely important to me. At the very young age of six, I began playing football and I am not talking about flag football. I started out playing full contact, no mercy football. If you can imagine a bunch of small kids in what looked like an oversized helmet and shoulder pads running full speed into each other then you have a good idea of how it looked. I enjoyed playing football not only because you got to hit someone as hard as you could without getting into any trouble but also because it was a great way to make new friends. Most of the best friends that I have now have come from the different football teams that I have played on. Without the sport of football, I would not be the person I am today. It has given me many attributes I am very proud of. For example, It taught me to never give up even when things get tough. I also learned that if you put your mind to something you could do anything you want. Although I no longer play the great sport of football it has molded me into who I am.
