Curtis Stewart
A lawyer based in Calgary, Curtis Stewart has extensive in-court experience. He has acted as counsel in a variety of capacities since being called to the bar, in Saskatchewan in 1990 and in Alberta in 2000. In addition to his frequent appearances as a lecturer, Curtis Stewart is the author of numerous published works. His titles include Rectification in Tax Law: An Overview of Current Cases, as well as Practical Aspects of Tax Related Criminal Proceedings.
Curtis Stewart currently serves as a senior partner and tax litigator with Deloitte Tax Law LLP, a practice that focuses solely on tax litigation and tax dispute resolution. He has been recognized for his work with Deloitte Tax Law by a number of industry publications, including Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business, the Lexpert Lawyer Guide to Leading Lawyers in Canada, and the International Tax Review’s Tax Controversy Leaders. Stewart is also a frequent contributor to such philanthropic organizations as United Way and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
