Curtis Willey
Program Manager and Project Management in Plumas Lake, CA
Leadership. Quality. Mission.
I am a leader, program manager, and quality professional with more than three decades of experience helping organizations operate more effectively, develop their people, and achieve demanding mission objectives.
My career has taken me from senior leadership and human resources roles in the United States Air Force to complex aviation and defense programs and, most recently, quality assurance and compliance leadership in the private sector. Throughout that journey, one principle has remained consistent: organizations perform at their best when people, processes, and accountability work together.
Today, I serve with Booz Allen Hamilton, where I lead the implementation, auditing, and continual improvement of quality management systems and support certification requirements including AS9100D, ISO 9001, and ISO/IEC 17025. My work combines quality assurance, compliance, process improvement, risk management, organizational evaluation, and leadership.
My experience extends well beyond quality. I have led multidisciplinary teams supporting organizations ranging from 35 to more than 12,000 employees, managed complex operational and administrative programs, advised senior leaders, developed organizational policies and programs, and worked in environments where accuracy, readiness, security, and mission execution are critical.
I also believe that leadership is ultimately about people. Throughout my career, I have placed a strong emphasis on mentoring, professional development, accountability, and creating an environment where individuals are empowered to perform at their highest level.
My professional foundation is supported by an MBA in Project Management, a bachelor’s degree in Management, an associate degree in Human Resource Management, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and Internal Auditor certifications, and Six Sigma Black Belt training.
Whether the challenge involves improving a quality management system, preparing an organization for an audit, solving a complex operational problem, developing leaders, or bringing structure to an evolving program, I approach it with the same philosophy:
Understand the mission. Build the right process. Develop the people. Measure the results. Then make it better.
