I never wanted to write a wine blog.

My new job means I taste quite a few wines, and I figured a blog would be an easy way to keep track of my notes and give staff easy access to them. I also thought that, since it's online anyway, other people might be interested in reading impartial, honest (sometimes brutal) reviews of wine, cider and beer.

I've been making wine on Tasmania's East Coast for the last 12 years, and now my family and I've relocated to Brisbane to see what happens next...

My wife Kris is a winemaker too (taught me what I know, truth be known) and together we drink and eat stuff and like talking about it. Three sons also keep us on our toes...
