Cierra Waller

My name is Cierra and I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. I’m a very curious person and if something interests me I will want to know more and more about that subject till no end. Learning about topics is something I am most fond of and there is always room for learning because no one knows everything. As a child I was always fascinated by technology and even now I still am. I used to destroy computers when I was younger because I was always trying to take them apart and put them back together. I've always loved to read, write and especially make people laugh. While growing up I learned I also loves kids. They are so great to work with and are fun and always positive. I volunteer at Pike Township Loving Care Central Elementary School during the school year. I usually help tutor the kids and also supervise them while they are playing and sometimes I play along. I also help at random places like coup kitchens throughout the school year. I also tutor at my church on Thursdays. I love being social and meeting new people. I make sure that there are no awkward silences in any of my conversations! I'm hardworking, outgoing and not afraid to get out of my comfort zone; I especially love experiencing and learning about other cultures and being open to their traditions. I find it amazing to have a world filled with many people, a lot of which have cultures very different from my own. I plan on traveling the world and helping people while I travel. It is my dream to open up an organization to outreach to people who don't have basic needs such as water, food and shelter in the US then eventually in other countries. I've already planned to set aside a chunk of my yearly wages to go towards that organization. I feel that I would be more happy that I made others happy than buying things to make me happy. The sense of community when I help others always brings me back to helping others more. Also other people deserve respect not neglect. Just because they do not make as much as you or do not have the same education you do does not mean they are less of a person than you are. Along with having respect for people I feel that people should have respect for nature because we humans are not the only being on this earth. Most importantly I feel that people should have self-respect because if they do not they cannot be expected to have respect for anything else.
