Catherine Watuka is a civil rights activist,women rights activist and anti-war activist. She was born in July 1979 in Nairobi,Kenya. After completing her secondary education she joined United States International University where she graduated with a BA in International Relations with focus on political science, diplomacy,international law,and conflict resolution,.
Prior to becoming politically active Catherine worked as a banker until she founded a grass root women organization Women United for Social,Economic&Total Empowerment @wusete. She has been a rising presence in community mobilization and a tireless activist for fair representation of women in politics.
Her passion is encouraging people to vote and run for public office. Currently she is the women leader of the Democratic Congress, consulting for several initiatives and campaigns at the local and national level,to formulate and sell Democratic Congress proposals with broad appeal to voters.
