Many foreign citizens are coming to Canada to work as nannies, elderly caregivers, or employees in assistance. Canada has recently announced that they will have an easier route to permanent residency and a higher opportunity to bring their families to Canada with them. The employee currently has to be employed for two years in Canada under the caregiver visas until they can apply for permanent residency. They can sponsor their family after a employee has permanent residency. Many employees then understand they are not qualified for permanent residency and are unable to sponsor members of their family. Those overseas employees will be tested in advance under the new five-year pilot program to see if they qualify to become permanent residents after completing their two-year period of jobs in Canada. This will decrease overseas workers ' dissatisfaction after the two-year mark. The fresh five-year pilot program will also enable foreign employees to take with them their spouses and kids. The program will also grant job licenses particular to the occupation of the foreign worker rather than enabling the foreign worker to have more liberty.
