Hello, my name is Charlsea, I go by my nickname CharLeigh. I am 31 years old, from Raleigh, NC. In my personal time I enjoy fashion and movie/ television trivia. I chose to return to school now because I found an interest with a purpose and believe I can make a difference. Currently I am a sophomore at NCCU majoring in psychology and my goal is to obtain my PsyD after completing my bachelors. I am a huge advocate of a support group for the mental health of the black women. It seems that in the black community, mental health issues seem taboo and embarrassing for some to admit needing help. I believe the needs of black women have been ignored and sometimes we support and love everyone but ourselves. One day I hope to be of assistance through providing therapy to African American Women dealing with mental health issues. I admire the work that Iyanla Vanzant has accomplished, and hope to have a similar success!
