Chris Winberg

I’m the director of the Fundani Centre forHigher Education Development (CHED) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology inCape Town, South Africa. The Fundani Centre is responsible for enhancingteaching, learning, and for promoting educational research at the institution.My work involves academic and institutional development – with a current focuson managing teaching development grants. My research focus is professional andvocational education, the professional development of university teachers, andtechnical communication. Previously I lectured in applied linguistics andlanguage education in South Africa and in Sweden. From 2010 – 2012, I waschairperson of the South African Association for Applied Linguistics.
