Hi, there. I am currently in my second year at UCLA as a Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology major minoring in Asian Languages and Culture with a concentration in Korean. Apart from my studies I am greatly involved in the Vietnamese Student Union where I strengthen my connection to my Vietnamese heritage and develop as a Vietnamese American woman. My experiences include:

Stage Crew/Sets&Props - Vietnamese Culture Night 2014 in Royce Hall **I took part in designing, constructing, and handling all sets and props needed for the annual event that showcases the Vietnamese culture through traditional and modern dance, acoustic performances, and a skit.

Parent Workshop and Tour Coordinator - VSU's 31st High School Conference **A one-day event where we invite high school students of any age and their parents from generally underprivileged communities to the UCLA campus in order to encourage higher education and to introduce the vast opportunities available in college.

Parent Co-Chair - VSU's 32nd High School Conference **I loved working with the parents at last year's event so much that I came back for more as the advisor for the Parent Component.

Professional Outreach Coordinator - Southeast Asian (SEA) Admit Weekend **A four day-three night event where we invite students who have been admitted to UCLA who identify as Southeast Asian to campus in order to see what UCLA has to offer as well as to help build their identities as members of the SEA community. Check out this $22,000 event at our website: http://seaadmit.com/

Patient Escort Volunteer - UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center **One-on-one patient interactions and exposure to the medical environment at one of the top 3 hospitals in the nation? Yes, always.

I have come back from studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea at Yonsei University over the summer a changed person. Spending two months on the other side of the planet without parents and In-N-Out does wonders to you as a person. There is so much to love about this breathtakingly beautiful country.
