I am a secondary language arts teacher in an affluent, suburban public school district and have been teaching for fifteen years.I have taught in several buildings, in several grades, delivering instruction in a variety of curriculum.I have also held multiple supplemental contracts- in both athletic and artistic areas.

For the first decade of my career, I was able to teach free of impediments and had received favorable evaluations.Over the past five years, I have experienced unfair harassment at the hand of various administrators and discovered that there is very little recourse one can take.AlthoughI love the content of my subject and I enjoy sharing it with students, the industry of education, I have sadly come to realize, does not share this same passion.

I created CYA Faculty Manual as a creative outlet in the hopes that it may help other teachers learn from my experiences.
