A cyber security specialist is someone proficient at securing information systems. I try to spend my day monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing, and responding to security events within a business. The key role here is to protect systems from cyber security risks and threats.

I'm responsible for providing security during the development stages of software, networks, and data centers. We being professionals have to search for vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software. I manage and monitor any attacks and intrusions. Recognizing the potential threat or attempted breach by closing off the security vulnerability and building firewalls into network infrastructure.

I design various strategies and defensive systems against intruders, monitor systems for any unusual activities. Conduct counteractive protocols and report incidents. Also, examine and evaluate security strategies and defenses. My responsibility is to create new defensive systems and protocols.

I help in developing new layers of protection and updating the security systems. And grant permissions and privileges to authorized users. Examine the defensive systems and provide reports based on test results.

Keeping myself updated with the new trends and procedures. This is my responsibility to analyze new methods of intrusion. I prevent attacks to access information without appropriate credentials by any hook or crook. Furthermore, I develop and implement information security standards, guidelines, and procedures.

I deliver standby support for cyber security incident response, conducting customized application security assessments for client-based asset risk and corporate policy. I implement vulnerability assessment, configuration audit of operating systems, web servers, and databases. Detect compressible patterns, insecure features & malicious activities in the infrastructure. Being master in OWASP testing methodology.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Security and the CISSP, CISA, CEH, CRISC, OpenFAIR, ECSA, CCSK, CDPSE, Security+ certifications.

I actively work on a day to day basis with the following compliance and security frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC 2 TSC, NIST CSF, HITRUST CSF, GDPR, NIST 800-53, ISF SoGP, SANS, HIPPA, HITECH.
