Cy Monley is a leading entrepreneur in the agriculture industry bringing together innovative solutions for aggregators to integrate their crop insurance and listed derivatives.

Monley led AFI Commodities, LLC, a Chicago, IL-based affiliate of Silveus Insurance Group that predated Silveus Financial as an introducer broker.

Throughout his experiences, Monley recognized the need for aggregators to integrate their crop insurance and listed derivatives, Monley came up with a solution.

In 2012, Monley co-founded SIlveus Financial, now the nation’s leading provider of connected risk management for grain producers and aggregators. By providing financial risk management analysis and advice to large farms in the United States, his company is changing the way farmers look at their farm. Utilizing proprietary analytical software to visualize the overall risk of a farmer’s entire operations including their underlying crops, input costs, crop insurance, forward sales, and financial hedges allows farmers to protect their upside and downside.

Monley has continued to be a leader in the agriculture industry. In 2014, Monley expanded to become the Portfolio Manager of the Trevinci Liquid Ag Strategy, a Typhon Financial company, meeting a discretionary, fundamentally-based approach focused on market imbalances to take advantage of short-term technical dislocations primarily focused on grains and cereals along with soft commodities.

Monley is based out of Chicago,IL where he lives with his wife Christina Monley.
