Sports Management in Rancho Cucamonga, California

Hello! I’m Cynthia. I'd like to tell you how I become interested in a career in sports. I've worked in the soccer community for the past seven years volunteering and helping realize crazy ideas. My adventure started in college volunteering and raising money for the Homeless World Cup. I was fortunate to travel to Rio de Janeiro and assist in their annual international Homeless World Cup in 2010. After my experience in this tournament there was no doubt I wanted to work in sports. I then volunteered with Street Soccer Mexico, AC in their national soccer tournament called Telmex De la Calle a la Cancha. After that I worked for an indoor soccer team in Anaheim, CA called the Anaheim Bolts. At the end of my 2 years with the Bolts I then moved on to assist my husband with starting a team in Ontario. This was at the same time I had just finished my graduate degree in sports management where I completed my capstone on the Success of Professional Indoor Soccer. So we started the Ontario Fury together playing at the Citizens Business Bank Arena and it's been an adventure ever since. The Fury is currently in its 4th season and our fan base continues to grow year after year. What I'm most proud about is the impact the Fury has made in the community. Being able to give back to my community has been the biggest reward for me. One of my dreams in life was to start a non-profit. Using the Ontario Fury as a platform, I co-founded the Fury Foundation. Our programs focus on education, health and fitness. It doesn't stop there! Even though I have a full-time job I sign up for small gigs with local races and some bigger companies such as LA Marathon, OC Marathon and the Rosebowl Stadium. Working outside events exposes me to new experiences and I'm always looking to gain more skills in the sports industry. In the past seven years I've learned a lot in marketing, tickets sales, community relations, game operations, sponsorship activation, budgeting, management and organization; I've also grown as a person really valuing the virtues of patience and respect. I am truly grateful for all my experiences thus far as these have made me the professional I am today. It's now time for me to take it to the next level and continue to make a difference with a national organization. If you feel I would be a good fit for your organization please click the button above.
