Cynthia Xiong
Student, Research Intern, and Tutor in Ann Arbor, MI
Hello! My name is Cynthia Xiong and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience (BCN) and Computer Science. I am extremely intrigued by the technology and educational fields.
I am currently enrolled in Discrete Mathematics (EECS203) and Elementary Programming Concepts (EECS 183). The latest project I am working on is coding a game utilizing functions and player input.
In an increasingly technological world, the possibilities that can brought to us through technology are endless. I am fascinated by the myriad of opportunities within the Computer Science field and I would love to gain more experience within this field of study.
I am an extremely motivated and optimistic person that loves to help people around me. Studying at a highly competitive university, I understand how it can be difficult to keep up with the fast paces of many core classes. In my position at the Science Learning Center, I help my study group members with strenuous Organic Chemistry topics through clear concept reviews, articulate worksheets, and a chance to ask specific questions. This allows them to have a personal connection to the topic that is harder to come by in a class of over 1000 students.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as music. I studied piano competitively for 10 years and my passion for piano is something that has remained with me despite my busy college schedule.
I look forward to hearing from you!
