“Journalist by profession. Collector of traces by inclination”

I am a French journalist, editor, DJ and independent curator.

My work explores the ways sounds, images, places and ordinary objects carry stories across time. As a journalist, my role is to verify facts, document reality and make information accessible. Away from the newsroom, I am drawn to the traces people leave behind: a handwritten dedication, a forgotten photograph, an old cassette, an overheard conversation, an abandoned place or an everyday object whose story has almost disappeared.

I don't collect objects for what they are. I collect them for the questions they raise. I am interested in the moment when a simple trace becomes the beginning of a story.

Through journalism, music, photography, archives and documentary research, I develop editorial and artistic projects that connect people, places and ideas.

JOURNALISM

I currently work as a visual journalist for ici Matin (France 3), producing and illustrating the daily morning news programme broadcast simultaneously on television and digital platforms.

Over the years, I have collaborated with Radio France, Le Courrier, Tsugi, LUI, Foodlab and PostapMag, while developing independent editorial projects through Houz-Motik, an editorial platform dedicated to music, sound and visual culture.

My Master's dissertation at CELSA – Sorbonne Université explored the notion of off the record in journalism and the mechanisms through which information becomes credible. It was later published as a book.

SOUND

Music has been another way of documenting the world for more than three decades.

As a DJ, programmer and curator, I create musical journeys for clubs, festivals, cultural venues, restaurants, exhibitions and radio. My selections move freely between house, ambient, jazz, soul, downtempo and experimental music, always seeking atmosphere rather than genre.

Whether through a DJ set, a radio programme or a playlist, I see music as another way of transmitting stories, memories and emotions.

HOUZ-MOTIK

Founded in 1994 as a radio show, Houz-Motik has gradually evolved into an independent editorial platform and record label exploring music, sound, archives and visual culture.

Today, it functions as a laboratory where journalism, publishing, photography, music and documentary thinking meet. Through articles, interviews, archives and independent publishing projects, it seeks to connect artists, ideas and audiences while documenting the cultural traces of our time.

CURATION & PROJECTS

Alongside my editorial work, I have imagined, produced and curated cultural projects for more than three decades.

These include DJ events, exhibitions, festivals and editorial collaborations, notably with La Mona (Paris) and the Limoges Short Film Festival, where I served as artistic director and programmer.

I enjoy creating contexts where encounters can happen as much as the events themselves.

RESEARCH

My current research revolves around a simple question: How do ordinary traces become stories?

I am particularly interested in the narrative power of everyday objects, archives and forgotten documents, and in the way our imagination completes what reality leaves unfinished.

This ongoing research naturally extends my work as a journalist toward photography, publishing and documentary creation.
