Technology is my passion, I must
have it in my DNA.
For the past 25 years I lived working in the IT and Telecom fields, All that
has to do with Wireless/Mobile Technologies. During my earlier career I worked on the High Volume, Impact and Non-impact Printer business (it was an excellent training ground and foundation). I made some life-long friends and mentors.
The advantages these new technologies give us are great! They are called many things, "The Internet of Things" and then "M2M" (machine to machine). It is estimated by IDC that by the year 2020 billions of machines will be connected to each other. Perhaps it will make it easier for us. They can talk to each other and looks like it will make thing simpler for us but "isn't" that what was said about the" Computer". As long as it's made by people, it will NOT be perfect. Our children, the Y generation and today's young adults will still have jobs but they better wise up on the new technologies.
I was in the EU this past summer and they call this the "Digital World". The EU is putting lots of investment, they are supporting entrepreneurs needing capital working on these new technologies. The EU calls it a "Digital Europe" and the private sector is also investing. It depends who you speak with or what you are speaking about it will be called different thing but it is mostly the same. JUST be-ware, MANY will watch or listen-in. "Big Data" is another name for millions and millions of bits of information that few private companies small or medium have the capability unless they have Dr.'s in Analytics working for them to make sense of the data. Only about 20% of Data is being used today, can you imagine the waste? Large governments do have the capability and if you are doing something wrong, they can eventually catch up to you.
I have four beautiful adult children (didn't have a TV), they are over twenty except for one which is a teenager. I have a very intelligent grandson that looks like and is intelligent as his dad (my son) and his mother. I Love reading about technology, science, artificial intelligence, neurology and current events. This I do mostly on the Internet
on my mobile device or lap top. You want to know WHY ? 'I Love Lif
