Gina Czubachowski

Currently, I am working as a Business Specialist for the Illinois Small Business Development Center. My office is located at Illinois Valley Community College. As a business advisor at the Illinois SBDC, we advise the business owners. The business owners are local business owners that understand that they need other professionals assistance. The topics include, but are not limited to marketing, social media, starting a business, managing business, managing employees,, personal finance, financial opportunities, and technology.

When not advising, we offer short and simple classes so business become aware and have better understanding of the topics. Classes provide the opportunity to learn from instructors, but also others in attendence. The classes that I have offered through IL SBDC have included topics about accounting, marketing, social media, business planning, and mangement.

When I am not advising business owners, I am an retail employee. My retail experiences have provided the opportunity to work in customer service in another business sector. As a substitute teacher, I have worked with special needs students and taught various lesson plans to high school students.

Learning is so important today and it is so accessible today. I believe networking and learning go together and will take any opportunity to learn and network. I maintain my insurance producer license and continue to keep up with information about the financial advising sector.
