Music is the lifeblood of my soul. From a young age, I was enraptured by the otherworldly magic of melodies and rhythm. I first discovered my love for music on the piano. I seek to master this instrument, and have studied and developed my skill on it for most of my life. Through the years, my piano has picked up many other friends as I found my musical proficiency grow. Mostly in the shape of other stringed instruments; I also found my singing voice. Where I once passively listened to music, I started to become bolder and create my own. Music helped me to open up as I shared what I loved with others. I started to see the beauty of music and its markings in my surroundings. As I’m out on the river, casting, the babble of the stream inspires new strumming patterns. My trigger finger keeps a constant and beating, unconscious rhythm on the range. Music is so intricately tied to the natural world, but also the spiritual one. I believe that music and faith go hand in hand, and my love for music has definitely contributed to my faith. Music has been, is, and will be an integral part of my life.
