During childhood I doodled on everything! I often got in trouble when my art work was discovered underneath table tops or covering mom's fruit bowls. (I loved decorating bananas.) As a teen my dad told me that I was an artist that's when it all clicked for me. I studied at Temple University. Phila. Pa. and became an Art teacher. I was a freelance craftsman creating jewelry , ceramics, dolls, cloths, purses, anything I could create with my hands. Being a mother of five children gave me lots of outlets to build my imagination and bring it to life. I than became a second grade teacher for the past 15 years. I am now returning to my childhood love by teaching Art at Marshal High School in Pasadena CA. I'm part of a clay studio in Altadena california that provides me a haven to play in clay something I hold dear to my heart. Nothing compares to my love when my hands are covered in clay. I love clay . It's always been a dream of mines to be able to sell my creations and now that;s exactly what I do . it brings me so much joy that the public thinks of my art as " incredible" and " inspiring" as for me it's a way to release my stress and bring my thoughts to life. I now specialize in a variety of ceramics making jars, hair clips, buttons, necklaces, clocks, picture frames, cups, bowls, candle holders, tea sets , plates, sculptures, food containers, and my latest venture cookie jars. As a creator and imaginer of life I thrive off of clay and what it inspires my heart to do .
