I lead the Digital Media department at Amgueddfa Cymru — National Museum Wales, which is responsible for delivering digital projects for all seven national museums in Wales.
I have 12 years experience of working with technology in the cultural, heritage and learning sectors, including over five years of leading a team with responsibilities in creating websites, software development, exhibition displays, online content and digital marketing.
My projects have included a number of initiatives including establishing a Digital Media team, introducing social media to seven museums, and leading the redevelopment of a bilingual website that brings together the heritage and history of Wales. I form teams that scope, design and build applications for exhibitions. Our work includes specifying the supporting infrastructure for installations and our online platforms.
My responsibilities include devising and implementing the Museum's strategic initiatives in digital media. I also chair the People's Collection Wales Technology Group, I'm a committee member for the Museums Computer Group, a Director for Audiences Wales as well as a member of the programme committee for the Museums & the Web international conference.
I live in Cardiff and enjoy travelling, rugby, gadgets, technology, museums, art, my family and other people's company.
