Head of Community Engagement in New York City
By day I am the Head of Community Engagement at Medium. Previously, I was the Director of Community Management at Tumblr, Director of Marketing at Smule, Director of Global Communications at Trion Worlds (running PR, Events, and Community for online games) and before Trion, I headed up Community and Customer Service for 2K Games.
If I were to encapsulate my work in a single sentence, I would do it as such: I redefine how companies interact with consumers by creating a real and meaningful dialogue between fan and brand. I believe marketing, communications, community, and support all exist to tell people about a Thing, get them excited about the Thing, give them the tools to use the Thing, and empower them to spread the word so more people use the Thing, too.
I also am an avid writer, gamer, runner, and cook. My miniature dachshund, Pancake, is also kind of famous on the internet.
