Eric Daimler is the co-founder and CEO of SpinGlass.ai, a hybrid consulting and investment operating company focused on fueling the development of emerging robotics and AI technology as well as its applications in traditional industries. He is also authoring Sense, Plan, Act, a manifesto for entrepreneurs, engineers, and key stakeholders on the psychology behind product design, development, and execution. Eric is a champion for AI & Robotics and the positive impact it can have on the economy and people’s daily life.

Eric served during the Obama Administration in the Robotics & AI workstreams with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy helping to drive the agenda for US leadership in research, commercialization, and public adoption.

In addition to his career in public service, Eric held global executive, investor, and advisor roles in IT companies, including six as a co-founder. Eric has more than twenty years of experience building companies and championing early-stage investments, including Hotmail and TiVo.

Eric studied at the University of Washington-Seattle, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon, where he earned his PhD. With degrees in Computer Science and Economics, Eric’s academic research with Robotics & AI has been in the domain of planning at the intersection of Machine Learning and Network Science (Graph Theory).

Notable academic achievements include research and faculty roles as Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor of Software Engineering in Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science. Eric launched Carnegie Mellon’s Silicon Valley Campus’ Entrepreneurial Management program and was one of its early financial backers and operational executives. He also founded Carnegie Mellon’s Undergraduate University Entrepreneurship Association and was founding chair of the Computer Science College's Alumni Advisory Board.
