I was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Bosnian War in 1993. I grew up in a small village close to Mostar always aspiring to break out of that surrounding that imposed so many limitations on my personal and professional growth and development. At the age of 16 I moved to Mostar to an international high school called United World College (UWC). For the first time in my life I was exposed to interesting people of different nationalities, religions and backgrounds. The academic as well as experiential education I received at UWC was enriching and inspiring. After spending what I still refer to as the two best years of my life at UWC, I moved to the US for college. I am now a junior at Northwestern University pursuing a major in Economics and a minor in Business Institutions Program. With the interest in business and marketing I joined AIESEC at my university. AIESEC became a huge part of my life very fast as it is something that closely resembles UWC movement. It allowed me to continue meeting new and interesting people from all around the world and travel to Brazil over the summer to experience new and exciting cultural immersion and do an internship in marketing. My next cultural immersion is going to be in Spain where i am going for a study abroad program to improve my Spanish.
