Alexandra Dakessian
principal in Chicago, IL
Hello, Ombudsman Family! I wanted to share a little bit about myself for those that do not know me. 2020 is a crazy time, and I would love to build a close relationship with you. Until then, the internet will have to suffice...
I am the Principal of Ombudsman Chicago Northwest. I started working at OCNW in 2014 as a teacher, and eventually became the Dean, a Lead Teacher, the Assistant Principal, the Interim Principal, and am now very pleased to be your Principal. I graduated from a CPS high school (after transferring to a few high schools, like many of our students), graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago for my Undergraduate Degree, and graduated from National Louis University with my Master’s Degree. I am always more than happy to talk to anyone about my experiences – you may learn we have more similarities than you previously guessed!
In my time outside of school, I love to spend time with my family. I am married and have an amazing daughter. I also have a dog and a cat. I love animals, traveling, hiking, biking, and staying active. Some of our students and staff will even tell you about how I beat them in arcade basketball (ask Krillies, he's a sore loser).
I am always here to support you and your family. Please contact me anytime and I will do whatever I can to assist!
