William Arnold

My name is William Arnold and I am a maintenance electrician at the BF Goodrich plant in Tuscaloosa, AL. I was a maintenance supervisor at Walter Energy up until January of this year. I spent the last 14 years working in a coal mine and am enjoying being back on the surface. I spent several years on the road doing electrical maintenance and construction prior to going to work in the coal mines.

I am also a senior at the University of Alabama getting ready to complete my bachelor's of science and technology degree. I am planning on continuing my education to earn an engineering degree. I am still trying to decide what type.

I have four sons. I just found out that my 8-year old has been classified as a genius from his gifted test results and my 16-year old twins have decided to start taking college courses at the University of Alabama through the UA Early Enrollment program. I also have a wife that has put up with and supported me for the last 17 years, and she is currently studying to get her medical coding license. We have horses and enjoy riding them, as well as several calves and chickens that we are raising.
