A graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College, Dale Brill completed a PhD in communications at the University of Tennessee before beginning a successful career with diverse professional pursuits. From 1995 to 2000, Dale Brill served as an assistant professor responsible for directing an interactive master's degree program in communications, first at Boston University and then at Florida State University.

His communications background helped him earn the position of dean of e-commerce and global business leader with General Motors-Europe in 2000. Dale Brill took the next step in his career in 2003, when he accepted the position of chief marketing officer with Visit Florida, for which he fostered brand unification through global strategic planning, public relations, and promotions.

Mr. Brill later served as director of tourism, trade, and economic development to Florida Governor Charlie Crist and as president of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, he founded Thinkspot, a public policy research firm based in Florida. Among other major projects, the firm is engaged in matters of economic development reform and intergenerational poverty.
