Dale Kincaid was born in Cleveland on October 8, 1957. His primary medium is photography specializing in nature and outdoor subjects. He attended Wright State University's performing arts program for acting and directing as part of a 10 year span in the theater performing in over 25 major productions. Dale's interest in art and photography began at a young age. He is primarily self-taught but ultimately studied under some of the best local and national photographers. He was first published in the 1998-1999 edition of the International Library of Photography and received an editor's choice award. Past achievements include a first place award in a fine art print competition held on August of 2011 by the Society of Northern Ohio Professional Photographers, judged by Robert Thurmer, curator of The Art Gallery at Cleveland State University. First place was awarded in the "Emerging Artists Category" at Brunswick Artworks 12, juried by Debbie Apple Presser from the Cleveland Museum Of Art. Throughout the 90's, Dale emerged as a top competitor winning numerous awards in local and regional competitions. At the turn of the century he started a full time career as a professional photographer specializing in wedding, portrait and event photography. Today he continues to follow his passion and love for fine art photography with creating expressive works that will captivate his viewers. Dale's current project involves combining photographs with textures through the use of digital imaging software. His growing collection of "Texture Art Photography" takes the viewer beyond the ordinary by enhancing the story, intensifying an emotional response and adding mystery to his images.
