Dale Salmonese
Nursing Professor and Former Pharmacy Manager in Queens, New York
Having spent more than three decades in the pharmacy management role, Dale Salmonese currently teaches at Molloy College in New York. As a professor with the Academic Enrichment Program, he engages with nursing students in teaching and support capacities. Dale Salmonese maintains a strong community commitment and supports the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital’s efforts to care for children with life-threatening diseases.
Mr. Salmonese’s background in health care includes the position as Director of Pharmacy Services with New Milford Hospital in Connecticut. He oversaw all aspects of pharmacy operations and developed an IV program and safety protocols for the mixing and compounding of injectable medications.
From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Salmonese served as career counselor,vessel inspector and crew member with the United States Coast Guard. Based in New London, Connecticut, he interviewed Coast Guard Academy candidates, for admission into the Academy. He also is certified as AB Crew USCG, and took part in patrols and port security tours that lasted up to two weeks. Dale Salmonese’s port inspection activities were undertaken in coordination with Homeland Security, the Environmental Protection Agency and local law enforcement authorities.
