Dale Trumbore's compositions—hailed by the New York Times for their “soaring melodies and beguiling harmonies”—have been performed widely in the United States and internationally by ensembles including ACME, Boston New Music Initiative, The Los Angeles Master Chorale, The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, The Singers – Minnesota Choral Artists, and VocalEssence.

The recipient of a Copland House Residency Award and the Artist in Residence Grant at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico, Trumbore has also held the position of Composer in Residence with Nova Vocal Ensemble. She has been commissioned by organizations including the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Center City Opera Theater, The Hollywood Master Chorale, Inscape Chamber Orchestra, Magpies & Ravens, and the Young New Yorkers' Chorus, among many others.

Trumbore's interest in the convergence of music and language leads her to collaborate frequently with leading contemporary poets. Her compositions are published with Boosey & Hawkes and G. Schirmer, and an album of her choral works is forthcoming from Choral Arts Initiative. A New Jersey native, Trumbore currently resides in Los Angeles. Hear more of her music at daletrumbore.com.
