Dan Alig, Chief Information Officer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, leads the School’s IT organization in partnering with faculty, students, staff, and alumni to enhance and evolve their experiences with technology. He actively develops strategies to impact Wharton’s mission in the dynamically changing landscape of higher education.

Alig began working at Wharton over a decade ago, supporting technology for the graduate division, and has since moved through a variety of roles with progressively increasing responsibility. As CIO, he has helped redefine the School’s research facilities and teaching infrastructure for a more adaptive and globalized approach.

A Los Angeles native, Alig moved to Philadelphia to study computer science at the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Dan lives in Center City Philadelphia with his family, where together they enjoy exploring all of the food and fun that the city has to offer.
