Dalton Carroll

At a young age, I found myself drawn to a variety of sports. Whether it was baseball, football, or basketball, I have always been driven to compete and learn about the games that I love. Although I didn’t realize it back then, I found it calming to step into competition and, perhaps, that is why it has become both a passion and an escape.

Now, I am a young student athlete with aspirations to take my love of baseball and use it to fuel a career. I know that my mind is as important as my body, so I have pushed myself off the field as well, pursuing a degree in Economics. I chose that field because I wanted to be able to understand financial data, as well as the system(s) that drive our economy. I feel having an understanding of what is going on around me will allow me to focus on what is important, while ensuring that I am responsible in my decisions and able to establish a strong foundation for the future, regardless of where my athletic abilities may take me.

Although I do not know what my future holds, I know that I will continue to push myself to excel.
