Danilo Amelotti is an international Security Risk Consultant helping companies, executives and high-net-worth families anticipate, assess and mitigate security risks before they become crises. As the founder and CEO of AD-Businesses, he provides strategic security consulting, travel risk management, hostile environment preparedness and crisis readiness, transforming complex security challenges into practical and effective solutions.
After nearly 25 years in the Italian Army Special Forces (9th Paratroopers Assault Regiment "Col Moschin"), Danilo transitioned his operational experience into the private sector, where he now advises organizations and private clients on protecting people, assets and business continuity.
During his military career, he served in multiple operational theatres, including Somalia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Albania, Afghanistan and Iraq, holding roles such as Special Forces Team Leader, sniper and counter-sniper, reconnaissance operator, Close Protection Team Leader and instructor.
He also served at the International Special Training Centre (ISTC) in Germany, where he contributed to the development of modern Conduct After Capture (CAC) training and advanced survival programmes for international Special Forces personnel.
Today, Danilo delivers security consulting, executive education, training and public speaking focused on prevention rather than reaction. His work combines operational experience with strategic thinking, helping clients understand risk before it becomes a threat.
Alongside his consulting activities, he is also a writer and author of articles on security, terrorism, geopolitical risk and crisis preparedness, making professional security concepts accessible to businesses, institutions and the general public.
