Passionate about branding and the psychological & cultural motivations behind consumption and perceptions; I am a marketing grad, with experience in branding, strategic analysis and creative direction, events, project management, account management and business development. Entrepreneurial experience from 2001 to 2010.
PERSONAL MOTIVATIONS
A fan of innovation, of paradigm-shifts, creativity, philosophical reflections and challenges, and believe in getting involved and doing something. A voice; action. Liked that TED evokes childlike curiosity. Hope to catalyze some juxtaposed collaborations between unexpected talents & causes (Provocachic was selected for a similar program, project Rojak under INC3 & MICA, an experiment of sorts).
Perennial proponent of the idea of relative 'truths' as knowledge/wisdom changes with time and context. Passionate about lifelong learning (which happens to be the meaning behind my chinese name - 沈文川 ), and interconnectedness of knowledge, no matter how diverse (describes my reading habit too).
Some other passions: Art and books, as it allows a conversation across ages and realities, and between minds often far removed. Also been involved as a freelance producer and art director for commercial photography (eg, cigarette pack images in S'pore, existing and upcoming batch.). Design, psychology, art & craft & history behind food and beverages, cultures & languages, technology, nature, etc.
Motivation behind these - curiosity, understanding, unexpected discoveries & links. Chess. Travelling. Books. Rediscover learning, realize humility, ignite passion, share hope, laugh, clap & tear, question the legacy we leave behind.
