Damon Kowarsky

Damon Kowarsky studied printmaking at VCA and the Glasgow School of Art. Since graduating he has exhibited regularly in Australia and abroad and worked as a scientific, courtroom, and archaeological illustrator. Kowarsky has travelled extensively in North Africa, West Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Architecture and the colours of earth and sky inspire much of his work. In 2007 he taught drawing at Beaconhouse National University Lahore and studied traditional miniature painting. Kowarsky recently participated in the 3rd Luxor International Painting Symposium and returned to Australia from travels along the Silk Road. He is currently working on prints inspired by these experiences.
