Dan Horkey helps others "Feel Whole Again" by applying personalized artwork onto Prosthetic Limbs and Orthopedic Braces.

About Dan: 30 years ago at age 21, life changed forever.

He lost the lower half of his leg in a motorcycle accident in Tucson, AZ in 1985. The accident cost Dan Horkey more than just his leg; it cost him his self-image, his confidence, his world, as he had known it. He played the 'Cover Up' game for 20 years, hiding his prosthetic leg.

In 2004, he needed another prosthetic socket fitting, but his insurance plan only covered about 10% actual cost.

Opportunity knocked for Dan Horkey and was offered a position as OandP fabrication technician at Hanger Orthotics and Prosthetics between 2004-2006. In the first week of training, "I fabricated my own personal prosthetic socket and applied my first tattoo, thereby initiating the tattooed prosthetic concept."

"The moment I put fiery flames artwork on my socket, my self-esteem went through the roof." Horkey said, "I wear my prosthesis with pride."

In 2008, he founded Global Tattoo Orthotic Prosthetic Innovations LLC. In 2015 we changed our brand and name

ProstheticINK.com a GTOPI Co. LLC

Dan reached a personal goal in 2009 when he received notice from the VA in Wash. D.C. his custom painted systems and fine art airbrushing methods were approved. The road block I'm plowing through now, 3 years later in Nov 2012, VA curtailed funding our custom options they APPROVED in Nov. 2009
