I am a hardworking and optimistic individual with an excellent work ethic. I am an excellent team player, who can also work independently without direction. I feel I have good people skills and this was demonstrated in my previous position where I was often praised by Management regarding customer feedback they had received. I pride myself on my attention to detail and always strive to exceed expectations. I have an easy-going nature with a good sense of humour, so find it easy to fit into an established team. I am a motivated, outgoing and career driven individual who has the drive needed to work in the creative industry. I have a passion for photography, particularly urban and natural landscapes. I work mainly with the Canon 5D MKII and Canon power shot G7X, using 50mm, 70mm and telephoto lenses up to 700mm. My interest in photography that initially started as a hobby has developed further due to the encouragement of my peers and I want to pursue a career in this sector. I am currently working as Creative and Digital Media apprentice at the NYFA in their marketing department and film crew. In addition to my photography, I’ve also been involved in film projects working with the Canon C300. As part of the camera crew I’ve filmed for the NYFA and TV shows such as ‘Our Creative North’ and ‘Wor rugby’. These include promotional video projects for Creative North and the NYFA, as well as working with established production company NowFilm on a number of projects. These projects have been televised by ‘Made in Tyne & Wear’ for the ‘Our Creative North’ programme.
As a part of the film crew for Acheron I held the responsibility of sound technician. I operated with a team of two other sound technicians and handled sound alone on occasion. My responsibilities included using the boom mic to record sound, setting the levels and testing sound on the zoom and informing the directors about the quality of the sound.
