Hello! My name is Dana Lee, and I love to travel. Traveling is more than visiting another country or city; it is witnessing a different, beautiful culture and breathing in fresh foreign air. It is getting out of my comfort zone and getting off of my lazy bum to become a less ignorant, narrow-minded American. It is the best personal investment I repeatedly make in my life. Traveling to new destinations is like watching a movie. You see the trailer beforehand to get an idea of what the movie is like, and you start to develop excitement as well as ideas of how awesome some scenes will be. Then you go and watch the full movie. You experience the sounds and all of the scenes of the movie. You get to know the characters and see how they interact with each other. Traveling has allowed me to become the open-minded and cultured person I am today. I have been able to experience the luxuries and beauties of Italy and Greece all the way to the poverty-stricken villages of the Yucatan Peninsula. I have experienced the fast pace of life in Tokyo and Hong Kong and the slow serenity of the Bahamas and Jamaica. The different spices and flavors of each country still linger in my mouth today. I can't wait to see what my next destination has in store for me.
