Dana Milani

Hello! My name is Dana Milani and I am a second year student at Ryerson University. I am currently enrolled in the RTA Sport Media program while also studying for a minor in Public Relations. Considering sports have been a large part of my life for many years, I knew this program and the opportunity to be immersed in Toronto’s downtown core would be a great experience.

Upon graduating, I plan to work in the marketing and sponsorship realm of sports media. With this objective in mind, I have adapted my professional experiences thus far to correlate directly to this career goal. As a result, I am currently employed by MLSE (Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment) as a sales associate at Real Sports Apparel in the Air Canada Centre; selling jerseys, clothing and interacting with sports fans on a daily basis.

Additionally, I will also be working as a Summer Sales Representative for Molson Coors. This recent opportunity further supports my future career aspirations, as Molson Coors and professional sports are very closely intertwined.

In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, staying active and watching TV/Netflix; some of my favourites include The Office and crime-related dramas. This summer I plan to embrace the warm weather by running outside and exploring the city; the two fortunately go hand-in-hand.

In the future I hope to successfully complete a half-marathon. Having played NCAA soccer in the U.S prior to Ryerson, running has always been a passion of mine. With this ambition in mind, maintaining and improving upon my cardiovascular endurance will be key moving forward.
