Dana Pethia is the Director of Fundraising Events & Corporate Sponsors at St. Martin’s University in Lacey, WA. Dana plans events and implements best practices for key University fundraising events: Celebrity Chef Gala Scholarship fundraiser, Dragon Boat Festival and the Saint's Golf Classic, She is the lead contact for University event sponsors. Prior to her current role, she served as the regional director for for Constant Contact in the Pacific Northwest. Dana has over 20 years of experience in supporting small and large businesses. She has a background in business development and sales, capital campaign fundraising, event and business marketing, tourism & resort based marketing, and financial marketing & education. Her professional career has afforded her opportunities to work in both private and public sector and opportunities to volunteer her talents as consultant and board director for non-profits and great organizations. Since 2010, Dana has educated over 10,000 small businesses on the subject of online marketing. She has presented at numerous trade, organization, chamber, SBDC, SCORE and private events as keynote and educational instructor. Dana is noted for her motivational style and ‘education first’ seminars. Dana’s professional and career history includes marketing leadership roles in banking, State Government, ad agency, corporate sales and training (SAAS) and board positions with Leadership Thurston County, The Olympia Lacey Tumwater Visitor and Convention Bureau, Olympia Rotary Club, and the Children's Music Foundation.
Dana has a passion for helping people. Whether it’s helping a business owner to develop their marketing plan, teaching young people the importance of saving and spending wisely, or singing the National Anthem for Special Olympics events – she’s all in! Dana enjoys membership in the Olympia Rotary Club , was named 'Champion for Kids' by TOGETHER Thurston County (2002) and more recently named as South Sound Business Examiner’s 2008 “40 under Forty.”
