Danae Jacot
Danae Jacot is the author of the young adult series The Land of Light which chronicles the people and events that influence the outcome of a war that has been waging for thousands of years: the battle between Lumen the god of light and the destroyer Ta-ul. Guided by prophecies, a young band of nobles and their servants, including the stormsayer Emmanuelle and her noble master Elisha and later Priya of the Invincible Three and her younger sister Sophia, hope to save all they hold dear. They are the ripples in the lake of time that will decide whether the balance will fall to good or to evil.
Danae Jacot lives in the Middle of Nowhere, Texas with her husband and two young daughters, the inspirations for the protagonist Emmanuelle of books 1-3 and Sophia of books 4-6. Danae learned to love stories from reading the Princess Bride and the works of Tolkien and Lewis, and she studied the Greek and Latin epics and mythology in college. Danae claims roots in Kansas, Missouri, Switzerland, California, and Georgia in addition to Texas and loves cooking, soccer, skiing, and languages.
