My focus is results.

My life's work resides in launching comprehensive risk management, emergency preparedness and occupational safety programs. Managing and executing projects for the Federal government, colleges and universities and a large, urban k-12 school district are where my story lies.

However, that is not the entire story.

Presently, I lead a department of 11 people, overseeing all risk, workers compensation, a world-class 24/7 facility security and emergency management operation, playground inspection, and school-based environmental sustainability and conservation initiatives. Together, we place all self-insured property, casualty, automobile, accident, flood, wind, specialty and workers’ compensation excess policies. We investigate and prevent accidents and near misses. When a hurricane bears down on our shores, we open shelters, rely on partnerships, and live up to our stellar reputation. We don't react, we are ready.

I have pie charts and graphs and I know how to use them. I play the guitar (badly) and am proud to be a grammarphile. I love my iPad, can have a conversation in Spanish, and have one vocal chord (you probably have two).

Much of what I bring to an organization is a life drawn from a constant stream of precisely calculated risk - motivated by a killer iTunes library, human connections, and a diet that alternates between coffee and water.
