Dan Afrasiabi

I have been involved and led start-ups and turn-around situations for the past 15 years. I have also been involved in private investments, as an investment manager in a small venture capital firm as well as on a personal level.

I am currently the CEO of ARM Insight (www.cardpowercorp.com), which creates various loyalty, rewards and promotional programs for consumers, merchants and card issuers.

My background has generally been in services companies built upon proprietary software platforms. The particular industry vertical has not been the relevant factor. I have done this in the membership services industry, in the telecom asset and expense management industry, in the entertainment ticketing industry, and now in the merchant funded rewards and social network marketing.

My most memorable career experiences involved taking a tiny software company and with the help of a dynamic group of people, turning it into the second largest ticketing services company in the country within four years, after 12 acquisitions and an eventual IPO. The company, starting as Entertainment Express, eventually became Tickets.com and is now an internationally-recognized brand in the ticketing world.

I also enormously enjoyed running the Indian and US operations of Symphony Services' Cost Management Group, after selling my company, Stonehouse Technologies to them. Although the travel schedule was brutal, the experience was priceless.

I received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurial Studies, as well as an M.B.A. and J.D. graduate degrees, all from the University of Southern California.

I live in Lake Oswego, OR with my wife and son, where we enjoy the amazing outdoor resources. I am also the Chairman of the Oregon chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). http://www.cardpowercorp.com/DanAfrasiabi
